CA Articleship Assessment Test is offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This is for CA intermediate and final students after the first and second years of practical training assessment have been completed. Essentially, the main purpose of these exams is to make sure that students are aware of the value placed on internships and practical training assessment exams.
Online registration for PT test/ Articleship test is open in the ICAI Articleship registration portal. The next ICAI Practical Training (PT) Assessment Tests/ Articleship Exam (MCQ type) is scheduled to be held on 22, 23, 24, and 25 of January 2022. Registration shall remain open from 01/01/2022 to 09/01/2022.
ICAI Articleship Exam – Eligibility Criteria
The students who have completed their 1st/ 2nd year of practical training between October 1, 2020 – December 31, 2021, are eligible to register for this test.
If a student has completed the first year of practical training between October 2020 – December 2020 and the second year of practical training between October 2021 – December 2021 and is eligible for both level tests, then he/she can choose the level while registering for the forthcoming test.
Students who have already taken the ICAI practical training assessment (one or two times) and wish to enhance their performance/grade can retake the test for a cost of Rs.200, providing they meet the qualifying requirements listed above. The best of the grades will be considered for inclusion in the virtual certificate in such a situation.
Students who enrolled for the previous test(s) but were unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances can still register for this test for a charge of Rs.200, providing they are eligible for this test.

ICAI PT Exam Details
ICAI practical training assessment will be an MCQ-based Objective Type examination of 75 marks for 1st Level and 100 marks for 2nd Level. There will be no negative marking.
Current Affairs in the forthcoming test would contain questions from the News Updates published in November, December 2021, and January 2022 issues of Students’ Journal.
There would be no time for reading. For authentication and system checks, candidates should connect to the link 30 minutes before the exam start time. Candidates will not be allowed to join at a later period.
ICAI PT Exam Grading System
Students marks will be determined based on their performance in the assessment as below:

Students can register for the test in the above mentioned time frame using the ICAI Articleship registration portal https://pttest.icai.org/. Depending on the number of candidates, students will be assigned any test date and hour from the aforementioned four test dates. On January 17, 2022, students will receive their admit card via the portal, which will include information about their test date, time, and a link to take the test. They will be notified about the Mock Test through e-mail to their registered e-mail ID, or they can check the site for more information.
