The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve organizational revenue targets. The Sales Manager plays a key role in driving team motivation, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business growth
Major Responsibilities
Career Counsellors Management:
- Act as the first point of contact for all Career Counsellors (CCs), addressing their concerns and ensuring smooth communication.
- Monitor the daily availability of open leads for all CCs and report to the CTO if the lead count is insufficient.
- Verify that leads generated through Digital Marketing are accurately recorded in the CRM and properly assigned to the respective CCs.
- Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales team members
- Monitor the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and closures
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for team members
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align on lead generation and campaign strategies
- Check daily call reports to confirm all CCs have made a minimum of 40 connected calls. Address concerns with CCs who have made fewer than 25 calls.
- Verify systematic follow-up of leads by all CCs and regularly update call scripts based on audit findings.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and follow up with customers as needed.
- Lead the team to execute effective sales strategies that meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Marketing and B2B Activities
- Collaborate with the Academics and Digital Marketing teams to organize impactful webinars and seminars.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote courses effectively and meet organizational goals.
- Plan and oversee college visits and seminars to generate leads and establish B2B relationships
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Proven experience of minimum 2+ years as a Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role preferably in an ed-tech company
- Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM systems, and market dynamics
- Experience in planning and executing college visits and seminars
- Should be proficient in CRM and lead management
- Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver consistent results
