Business registration proof
Valid proof of business needs to be submitted to acquire GST registration. For LLP, partnership or trust, GST registration is mandatory.
Address proof of business
You need to have the address proof of the business you are starting for GST registration. The documents may differ depending on the building you have used for your business. If the building is of your own, a Property Tax receipt, copy of the electricity bill or municipal Khata copy will do. You can submit a valid copy of the rental agreement in case of a rented building. If the applicant is an SEZ developer, he can submit certificates authorised by the government of India. For all other cases, you can provide a document from the building owner in your favour.
Bank Account Proof
You need to have a valid bank account before starting a business and submit the scanned copy of the bank statement’s first page or any other relevant page as bank proof. Also needed to produce the scanned copy of a cancelled cheque with either the business owner’s name or the organisation. You should also provide your bank account number, IFSC Code, MICR and branch details at the time of submission.
All GST registration forms should have the applicant’s digital signature and a class 2 digital signature. So the applicant needs to procure a valid DSC number before registration.
