Job Description
The Vertical Head – Online Programs is responsible for planning, developing, executing, and scaling of all online courses and initiatives. This role ensures high-quality delivery, smooth operations, strong student experience, and continuous growth of the online vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the online sales team and provide continuous training to ensure strong follow-up practices, ownership, and high performance
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Online Program Vertical in alignment with overall business goals
- Lead admissions and revenue growth by boosting lead conversions, supporting the sales team and ensuring 100% monthly/annual targets for the vertical.
- Monitor KPIs, sales funnel, and performance metrics to ensure consistent growth
- Coordinate with Marketing & Creative teams to develop campaigns, promotional content, and marketing strategies that boost sales.
Track and manage lead generation from all sources for the online programs, including digital campaigns, referrals, and college activities, ensuring strong follow-up and conversions.
- Work with Academicsto develop and maintain high-quality online course content based on market trends.
Manage online program operations, including batch scheduling, faculty allocation, LMS readiness, student on boarding, support, and fee follow-ups.
Monitor student attendance, engagement, feedback, completion %, and dropout %, and implement plans for improvement.
Drive student engagement activities, resolve academic/technical escalations, and ensure overall student satisfaction.
- Conduct competitor analysis and provide weekly/monthly performance reportswith insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management, communication and coordination skills
- Good sales understanding and ability to support conversion strategies
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Academics & Operations
- Experience in EdTech or online training operations preferred
Hands-on experience with CRM tools (LeadSquared preferred)
Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing/Operations/Project Management or related field
- 6-8+ years of experience (3+ years of experience in handling online courses or EdTech operations preferred)
