Age Relaxation for SBI PO 2024
- Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes can get a five-year exemption.
- Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) will get a three-year exemption.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (SC/ ST) will be exempt for 15 years. OBCs will be exempt for 13 years, and Gen/EWS will be exempt for ten years.
- Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs):
- Must have rendered five years of military service
- Must have been released upon assignment completion (including those due to be completed within six months from the application receipt date)
- Excludes dismissals or discharges due to misconduct, inefficiency, or military service-related disability or invalidity
- Age Relaxation: 5 years

SBI PO Recruitment 2024 – Selection Process
The selection for SBI PO 2024 is divided into three steps: Prelims, Main, and Interview. You need to pass each step to go on to the next one until the final selection.
Stage 1: SBI PO Prelims
- The preliminary exam will be held to check the candidate’s basic knowledge.
- This exam will be held online.
- Subjects should cover English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
- Based on the candidate’s performance, marks will be decided.
Stage 2: Mains Exam
- Candidates who passed the prelims can write the mains exam.
- The main exam consists of an objective test and a descriptive test.
- The Objective Test covers four sections such as English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness.
- A merit list is prepared based on total marks scored in the Main Examination.
- There are no sectional cut-offs.
- Approximately three times, the category-wise vacancies are shortlisted for the Group Exercise & Interview based on merit and meeting the minimum qualifying score.
Stage 3: Interview
- Psychometric Test: Some candidates shortlisted for Phase III might need a personality test. The results can help the interview panel better understand them.
- This is the last step in the selection process. Candidates who pass the SBI Mains Exam will be called for an Interview and Group Exercise. This stage is essential for the final selection of an SBI PO.
- The marks from the SBI Mains Exam and Interview decide who ultimately becomes an SBI PO.
