B.Com admissions to be postponed
Due to the delay in the CBSE exam result, UGC has directed various institutes in the country to postpone the degree admission formalities. B.Com admissions are also getting delayed owing to the current scenario.
UGC secretary Rajaneesh Jain has written letters to different universities in India to set the last date to receive degree applications, including B.Com, only after announcing the exam result.
CBSE has also requested UGC through letter not to start admission formalities before the announcement of the 12th results. Considering their plea, UGC has written to vice-chancellors and college principals of different universities, requesting the same.
According to the latest reports, CBSE 12th exam results are getting delayed further. Now, the second term exam papers are getting evaluated. The final result will be published only after calculating the weightage of both term exams. It may take almost a month to complete the evaluation.
CBSE authorities plan to publish results either by the end of this month or at the beginning of next month. Last year CBSE 12th class result was published on July 30th and the 10th result on August 3rd.
Different state boards, including Kerala, have already published the 12th-class results. Various state universities and private institutes had already begun the admission process. But they have postponed the admission dates due to the revised UGC order.
