Age Relaxation for IBPS RRB 2023 Exam

Candidates belonging to reserved categories, including SC, ST, OBC, PWD, Ex-Servicemen, and others, are eligible for age relaxations as per the following guidelines:

  1. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is granted to candidates in the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) category. For candidates of Other Backward Classes (OBC), there is an age relaxation of up to three years.
  2. Candidates with disabilities (PWD): Can receive an age relaxation of up to 10 years. For ex-servicemen and disabled veterans, their period of service in the defence forces is added to three years (or eight years for those belonging to the SC/ST category). However, their maximum age limit is 50 years.
  3. Women widowed, divorced, or legally separated from their husbands and have not remarried may be eligible for age relaxation of up to 9 years for the Assistant Manager (Officer Scale-I) position and up to 10 years for all other available jobs.
  4. Individuals impacted by the 1984 riots are eligible for age relaxation of up to five years.

Educational Qualification for IBPS RRB 2023 Exam

Candidates preparing for the IBPS RRB Notification 2023 must possess the following educational qualifications:

Office Assistant (Multipurpose):

  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a reputed university.
  • The participating RRBs require proficiency in the local language as per their guidelines.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.

Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any field from a well-known university or its equivalent is required.
  • Candidates with at least a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering and Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy will be given preference.
  • Proficiency in the local language.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.

Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager):

  • To apply for this position, a recognised university or its equivalent must have granted the candidate a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The degree must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Priority will be given to applicants with a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing and Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering or Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy.
  • Requirements: Must have worked as an officer in a bank or financial institution for at least two years.

Officer Scale-II (Information Technology):

  • Bachelor’s degree from any reputed university.
  • Preferred qualifications include certifications in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, and similar technologies.
  • Experience: One year (in the relevant field).

Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant):

  • Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • Experience: One year as a Chartered Accountant.

Officer Scale-II (Law Officer):

  • To be eligible for this position, you must have a degree in Law or an equivalent qualification from any proper university, with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
  • Requirements: Two years of experience as an advocate or working as a Law Officer in banks or financial institutions for a minimum of two years.

Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager):

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a proper university/institution.
  • Experience: One year (in the relevant field).

Officer Scale-II (Marketing Officer):

  • MBA in Marketing from a recognised university.
  • Experience: One year (in the relevant field).

Officer Scale-II (Agricultural Officer):

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the Agriculture/Horticulture/Dairy/Animal Husbandry Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Experience: Two years (in the relevant field).

Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager):

  • To be eligible, one must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised university or an equivalent institution with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
  • Candidates with a degree or diploma in banking, finance, marketing, agriculture, horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry and veterinary science, agricultural engineering, pisciculture, agricultural marketing and cooperation, information technology, management or law, economics, or accountancy will be given preference.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of experience as an Officer in a bank or financial institution.
