HR Manager – Kochi

Job Description:

Manager – HR will head the recruitment division (internal and external recruitments, student
placement) of Finprov in its entirety. This includes taking full ownership of SpotGiraffe website,
designing and modifying recruiting procedures, recording recruiting metrics, supervising the
SpotGiraffe and HR team and monitoring their performance. The Manager – HR is also
responsible for managing the employee life cycle (i.e., recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training,
and firing employees) and administering employee benefits.

Major Responsibilities:

Student Placements

  1. Arrange internships for all the eligible students within two weeks of course completion.
  2. Conduct classes for the students on Interview skills when required.
  3. Ensure placement for all the eligible students within 45 days of course completion.
  4. Ensure all the students are registered in the SpotGiraffe platform soon after their course completion.
  5. Engage with employers to support student placements.
  6. Perform weekly/monthly feedback calls with employers regarding the placed students and prepare a report and share the same with CEO, COO& CAO.
  7. Maintain a database of employers and student placements.

Internal Recruitment

  1. Guide and support the HR team for the Internal recruitment of Finprov.
  2. Ensure quality resumes are shortlisted for further interview procedures.
  3. Ensure best quality creatives with relevant details are shared on all social media pages soon after a vacancy is informed.
  4. Ensure the vacancies are listed in all the hiring platforms including Spotgiraffe, Indeed, Naukri, etc.
  5. Conduct preliminary interviews before sharing them with the management team.
  6. Conduct thorough background checks of the selected candidates before recruiting.
  7. Maintain a google drive to save all the documents of the hired employees.
  8. Maintain a database of all the interviews conducted.
  9. Ensure proper orientations/onboarding sessions are conducted to all the new joinees on the joining day.
  10. Guide team for processing all the paper works connected to the internal recruitment.
  11. Ensure all the vacancies are being filled within 30 days.

External Recruitment

  1. Build rapport with corporates to improve the external recruitment.
  2. Participate in programs that help in networking with other HRs.
  3. Ensure to contact employers who listed their job vacancies in the newspapers and other online platforms.
  4. Ensure all the external vacancies are listed in the spotgiraffe platform either by employer or by our team.
  5. Ensure quality resumes are shared with the employers.
  6. Conduct preliminary interviews and background checks before sharing a resume with the employer.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Take active ownership of the SpotGiraffe site and oversee all developments in the site.
  2. Conduct team engagement activities for all employees whenever required.
  3. Support volunteer opportunities for students & employees and conduct charity programs.
  4. Help the BD team to successfully implement job fair events.
  5. Participate/Facilitate in seminars/webinars when required for branding and development of the recruitment wing.
  6. Creating an environment of open communication.
  7. Conducting exit interviews with outgoing employees.
  8. Overseeing the termination/resignation process of an employee.
  9. Counselling employees who are stressed.
  10. Working with departmental heads during appraisals.
  11. . Introducing employee wellness programs.
  12. Creating/Updating the “Employee handbook” (company policies for employees) based on best practices and sharing it with all employees and ensuring adherence.
  13. Updating the Org. chart as needed and sharing it with the team.
  14. Ensuring the best work culture is followed by the company and all employees at all times.
  15. Ensure a smooth transformation from 5.5 working days week to 5 workday weeks.
  16. Remembering employee birthdays and important event dates.
  17. Contribute, participate and perform ad hoc activities as and when required for the growth and success of the organization as a whole.
